Ruvos and NewSci partner on public health projects

Through collaborative efforts, two Tallahassee-based technology companies will be partnering to improve public health. Ruvos and NewSci will provide public health agencies across the globe access to informed and educated data-driven decisions.

“For the last 16 years, we have had the privilege to facilitate interoperability, to host and secure data, as well as work with public and private healthcare organizations around the world. For us, the natural next step is data science, positioning our customers and partners to have increased situational awareness as well as the ability to use insights to make informed decisions,” CEO of Ruvos, Eduardo Gonzalez Loumiet said.

Ruvos, who’s client list includes many public and private health institutions like the Florida Department of Health, International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), and the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), have been providing data integration and secure cloud hosting for over 16 years. Recent initiatives include innovative technology services to help public health organizations around the nation respond to COVID-19. These efforts will have a direct impact on the reopening of businesses and educational institutions. Additionally, this technology will reach beyond COVID-19 and be used for other reportable diseases, such as influenza.

Ruvos Word Mark

This partnership inspired Ruvos to provide better technologies for data science-related projects.

New Sci Labs

The relationship catalyst is a high profile project where Ruvos will be utilizing NewSci’s niche capabilities in data science to help perform anomaly and out of bounds detection on time series data to identify issues with traffic to and from senders and receivers of that data. Fortunately, the two companies are excited to continue the relationship for years to come.

“The gap between data and insight has never been greater. Bridging that gap requires a combination of data management and data science, so partnering with Ruvos was an easy decision,” Co-Founder & CEO of NewSci, David Lawson said. “We look forward to working together to help clients discover actionable insights to improve public health and safety.”
